to the official website of the North Arundel County Alumnae Chapter
(NACAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. Since 1913,
our Sorority has been a beacon of light for college educated, predominately
African- American women across the globe, promoting academic excellence,
public service and sisterhood. Following in this tradition, NACAC,
chartered in 1989, lights the way for public service projects throughout
the North Arundel County area of Maryland.
This
site was developed to give you insight on what our illustrious sorority
is all about and what NACAC is doing
within North Arundel County. NACAC
remains dedicated to Delta's traditions of Sisterhood, Scholarship
and Service, and strives toward making a difference in the lives
of North Arundel County (MD) residents
through volunteering, public service, education, and social action.
NACAC
has a dedicated membership, faithfully committed to family
and community on all levels - county, state, national, and international.
NACAC remains in the forefront, providing stellar service, and paving
the way for others to emulate.
NACAC
is one of over 900 chapters working as directed by our Grand Chapter
of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., making strides in our Five-Point
Program Thrust. The Five-Point Thrust of this great organization
is the cornerstone upon which we focus our service. It includes:
- Economic Development
- Educational Development
- International Awareness and Involvement
- Physical and Mental Health
- Political Awareness
North Arundel’s programs address the concerns
of the local community and are extensions of our national emphasis
found in the Five-Point Thrust. We are proud of the work Delta has
done in the community over the years. The commitment of this great
sisterhood to maintain a positive role through our leadership, volunteer
service, scholarship and financial contributions is a tribute to
the mission of our great founders.
