The bible tells us – “The harvest is plentiful but the laborers are few.”

The people of God, our community have many needs and God has put a work into our hands. We are called to serve each other, living in the example of Jesus Christ. But what if what we have to offer is not enough. The beautiful thing is that God, in his infinite wisdom, always had plan, a plan for us to work together. God blesses what we offer and makes it abundant ...so that it will achieve His desire, His purpose, as we work together.
As we look around our world, our brothers and sisters, God's people, face injustice every day. And I know that I must raise my voice against it. I pray to God, who will raise their voice with mine because my single voice is faint. And while I raise my voice for one cause, who will raise a voice for the others? My sister, YOU are my answered prayer, and I pray that I am yours.
There are many that are hungry and need to be fed (with physical food, with nurturing, with kind words, with critical information). And I know that I must help. I pray to God, who will add their labor to mine because my hands and feet are insufficient by themselves. My knowledge is insufficient by itself. And while I cover one area, who will cover the others? My sister, YOU are my answered prayer, and I pray that I am yours.
And when I am empty, when my season of grief or loss seems unending, when I have given all I have and the work is still not coming together. I pray to God, who will who will lift my head. Who will tell me that it will be ok, that WE will work it out, when that is what I really need to hear in the depth of my soul. My sister, YOU are my answered prayer, and I pray that I am yours.
A friend loveth at all times and a brother (sister) is born for adversity. Proverbs 17:17.
We are his offering, sent to be a blessing each other. In the work we do but also in the ministry of our hearts and kind words to each other. My sister, YOU are my answered prayer, and I pray that I am yours.
