ABOUT NACAC
A Glen Burnie, Maryland resident, Christine Davenport, recognized the growing minority population in northern Anne Arundel County and envisioned a local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Through her determination and the efforts of local Deltas, the North Arundel County Alumnae Chapter (NACAC) was officially chartered on April 16, 1989, by twenty-seven dynamic women committed to making a difference in their community. Officiated by Eastern Regional Director Madeline Lawson, the ceremony welcomed Deltas from across Maryland and honored the presence of the 16th National President, Dr. Thelma T. Daley, marking the beginning of a vibrant sisterhood that continues to thrive today.
